Mayor Marcelo E. Navarro Jr. officiated in the swearing-in of newly-elected barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials of the 27 barangays of Bani on November 26, 2010.

MSWD's Ronald C. Catabay was the master of ceremonies while MLGOO's Karen P. Cuya read out the names of those elected to office.

The Hon. Vice-Mayor Filipina Rivera gave a talk before the actual oath-taking challenging the audience -- the barangay and SK officials, who were arranged in columns according to their place of service-- to fulfill their roles well.

The actual oath-taking ceremony was a mixture of solemnity and glee as Mayor Navarro led the respective officials to recite the oath after him. Afterwards, he gave a speech inspiring the newly sworn-in to join him to work in brining to fruition the visions for Bani, reminding them the slogan that would make that goal achievable: Kayang kaya kung sama-sama.
