LGU Bani conducts People's Forum

June 23, 2011 -- It is almost a year since the inauguration of the elected municipal officials of Bani, a people's forum was held at the "Freedom Park" to shed lights on what is happening in the municipal government.

Mayor Marcelo E. Navarro Jr. officiated in the swearing-in of newly-elected barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials on November 26, 2010, a month after elections.

 

New Homes, New Life in Olanen

Situated in a valley surrounded by lush trees, yet high above the sea, a new community has arisen in Olanen, Dacap Sur. This newly-completed core shelter project is a joint venture of the DSWD, the Local Government of Bani, and the United Nations World Food Program.

The United Nations World Food Program (UNWFP) representatives led by Stephen Anderson, Country Director and Justin Sherman, Regional Advisor for East Asia Pacofic Office of the Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFPA) visited the Core Shelter Project at Sitio Olanen, Barangay Dacap Sur on September 1, 2010.
